Three Chinese companies will invest $160 million dollars in Nuevo León

In Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province, three Chinese companies announced new investment projects that will exceed $160 million dollars and create more than 1,850 new jobs.


"These announcements represent the consolidation of the promotional efforts that we have been making in the Secretariat with these companies for several months, with some even for more than a year," said Roberto Russildi, Secretary of Economy and Labor of the State Government of Nuevo León.


"These are projects that will bring to the state an important economic spill, the creation of about 2,000 new direct jobs and, above all, many business opportunities for New Leon."


The companies that today confirmed investments in Nuevo León are:


1) Kuka Home, China's largest furniture manufacturer, which also has more than 4,500 stores in the Asian country. In the first stage, they will be manufacturing sofas for the North American market and later contemplate exporting to South America. This project will be your first production plant outside of China.


2) Holley Technology, a leading company in the manufacture of automation and electrical energy measurement systems. The project they will establish in Nuevo León will be spearheading in 4.0 technologies.


3) Sunon, a manufacturer of office furniture, with more than 800 patents and a marketing network in more than 108 countries.


These companies will be installed inside the HOFUSAN industrial park, in Salinas Victoria, Nuevo León.


The event in which the investments were announced had as a witness of honor the Vice-Governor of Zhejiang Province, Zhu Congjiu, with whom Secretary Russildi had a fruitful meeting and agreed that a Cooperation Agreement between the two governors will soon be signed.


"I have agreed with the Vice-Governor of Zhejiang that we will soon be signing a cooperation agreement that will open many business opportunities and provide confidence to investors. We share with Zhejiang the vision of being the regional reference in the development of 4.0 technologies", said Russildi.


"This meeting consolidates the basis for future exchanges and gives us positive opportunities for the next steps in our relationship." Mr. Zhu Congjiu mentioned separately.


Zhejiang Province is one of the most economically powerful in China, with 57 million inhabitants and a GDP of 850 billion dollars, a figure very close to that of all of Mexico. Zhejiang is home to important companies that have contributed to China's technological development, such as Alibaba.


State officials will continue their agenda in China meeting with companies interested in investing in Nuevo León that are very close to making their decision, among which one of the most important off-road vehicle manufacturers worldwide, a leading production company of tires, and one of the largest appliance manufacturers in the world.


Currently, Chinese companies represent 22% of the portfolio of projects under negotiation in the statistics of the Ministry of Economy and Labor. More than 30 Chinese companies operate in Nuevo León, among which Lenovo, Hofusan, Bromake, Mexin, Didi, Broad-Ocean, among others.
