Nuevo León seeks to consolidate its international positioning as an attractive destination to invest and do business.
The Secretary of Economy and Labor of the State of Nuevo León, Roberto Russildi Montellano, heads a delegation of state officials in Asia that starts today a work agenda in China with the main objective of attracting more investments to Nuevo León.
Also participating are Lorenzo Aguilar, Undersecretary of Investment and Industrial Development; Héctor Tijerina, Investment Director; and Anabell Flores, Asian Investment Coordinator.
The delegation will be in China and Japan, where they will meet with more than 10 companies interested in investing in Nuevo León, which would bring well-paid jobs and business opportunities for local SMEs.
With this agenda, the State Government seeks to consolidate the efforts it has made this year in the international positioning of Nuevo León as an attractive destination to invest and do business.
Meeting with Wolong Electric
In Hangzhou City, they met with Wolong Electric, the largest electric motor manufacturer in China. This company currently operates a plant in the municipality of García, Nuevo León, where it employs more than 1,000 workers.
The meeting was very productive and threw good news for Nuevo León, as the company's global president, Mr. Chen, said they are very happy with their operation in the state and are currently considering expanding.
The good news will continue
Secretary Russildi mentioned that during the rest of the week they will continue meeting with important Asian companies and was optimistic that he will be able to confirm new investments for Nuevo León.
"They are companies with which we have been in constant communication for several months, presenting the competitive advantages of investing in our state, and some of them are already about to decide to establish their projects in Nuevo León." Secretary Russildi.
According to the most recent figures published by the federal government, Nuevo León is the state that has received the most foreign investment in Mexico this year, with $ 2,753.10 million dollars.
