Nuevo Leon pushes Industry 4.0 projects.


 

Inauguration of “Advanced Manufacturing Capability”, a research center for training and Industry 4.0 for SMEs of Nuevo León.


When inaugurating the Advanced Manufacturing Capability, a training center that will benefit SMEs, within the Research and Technological Innovation Park (PIIT), the Secretary of Economy and Labor of Nuevo Leon, Roberto Russildi Montellano, affirmed that the Government will continue promoting Industry 4.0 projects.


During the opening ceremony of this research center, the official assured that Nuevo

León is a State in which new investments of companies will always find well-trained and specialized technicians.


"We are very happy with this project that McKinsey and Caintra began and Government, Private Initiative and Academia will continue collaborating through Initiative 4.0” said the Minister.


He recalled that the Government of Nuevo León launched Initiative 4.0 in 2017, with a global vision to promote an industrial revolution that accelerates the development of SMEs.


The Advanced Manufacturing Capability is the result of an alliance between the Chamber of the Transformation Industry of Nuevo León (Caintra), and the McKinsey organization, a global consulting firm, with the purpose of boosting productivity in the entity through development.


"It is the first experiential training center with a state-of-the-art model factory focused on the development of competencies, being an ideal platform to learn about Industry 4.0 and create new competencies in a constructive and practical environment", explained Juan Ignacio Garza Herrera, president of Caintra Nuevo León.


Currently McKinsey operates 26 such centers worldwide and this is the first one in Mexico which places Nuevo León at the forefront of Industry 4.0 to boost the development of companies, particularly SMEs.
